Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia's sovereign wealth fund Danantara and the State-Owned Enterprises Management Agency (BP BUMN) are finalizing a five-year roadmap to transform state-owned enterprises into more competitive, value-driven companies.
Head of BP BUMN and Chief Operating Officer of Danantara Dony Oskaria said the roadmap would provide a common framework for all state-owned enterprises (SOEs) to strengthen governance, improve business performance, and create long-term value.
"Each of these themes will be implemented across all state-owned enterprises. Consolidation, people development, corporate culture, innovation, and value creation must become our shared direction," Dony said in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday.
Dony chaired an internal meeting with Danantara Asset Management (DAM) to refine the strategic roadmap, which will guide the management and transformation of Indonesia's SOEs over the next five years.
The discussion focused on implementation phases, aligning priorities at each stage, and ensuring all SOEs move in the same direction toward more modern governance and stronger value creation.
Under the roadmap, BP BUMN and Danantara aim to accelerate comprehensive SOE reforms through stronger business fundamentals, talent development, technology adoption, and improved global competitiveness.
The initiative is expected to create more efficient and innovative SOEs while increasing their contribution to Indonesia's economic growth and public welfare.
The five-year strategy will be implemented in stages, beginning with consolidation and restructuring, followed by people development and corporate culture strengthening.
The next phases will prioritize innovation and technology adoption, value creation through corporate actions and strategic partnerships, and the achievement of global performance targets.
Through the roadmap, BP BUMN and Danantara aim to build more resilient and globally competitive Indonesian SOEs, with the long-term ambition of placing more companies among the Fortune 500 rankings.
