Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Legislative Council (DPRD), South Kalimantan, has approved the 2026 Revised Budget (APBD-P) bills to be stipulated as a regional regulation (perda).
The council announced its approval at the plenary meeting of the first session of the 4th meeting period of 2026/2027 session year.
"There are some notes and recommendation for the local government in its implementation," said the DPRD Speaker Suwanti here on Monday.
Furthermore, readiness of capital enpenditure implementation, transpareancy and accountability of budget, the use of SILPA (the remaining budget financing), and enhanced oversight of the regional budget (APBD) execution.
DPRD also emphasized that the 2026 revised budget should be directed to programs that provide direct benefits to the community, specifically in basic services, infrastructure, education, health, clean water, and community economic empowerment, as well as ensuring equitable development in coastal, islands and inland areas.
"After going through discussion at the fraction level, the commission, and DPRD's Budget Committee with the Regional Government Budget Team (TAPD), DPRD declared to accept and approve the 2026 Revised Budget draft regulation and set to become the Kotabaru Regional Regulation (Perda)," she stated.
The approval was formalized through the DPRD Decree Number 6 of 2026 and a joint decree of the DPRD and the Kotabaru Regent, which was then signed by both parties.
In the final statement of the Kotabaru Regent delivered by the Regional Secretary H Eka Saprudin, the local government expressed its appreciation and gratitude to the leadership and all members of the council who had conducted intensive discussion until the 2026 Revised Budget could be mutually agreed upon.
